U.S. Air Force: Airman Challenge

People are often surprised to hear that only four percent of the U.S. Air Force are pilots, but it’s true. Every day, the other 96 percent are conducting missions around the world involving special operations, space command, medical personnel and security forces. How do you spread the word about all these other careers to a target audience that spends most of their time either on their phone or playing videogames? You make a videogame they can play on their phones. Airman Challenge lets gamers assemble the right Air Force team members to conduct various missions, from delivering humanitarian relief and defending against cyber attacks to performing a special ops rescue mission.  The more they play, the higher they get promoted, learning about 60 different Air Force careers along the way. During the first six months, 155,000 users put their skills to the test, with 38 percent of them more likely to become leads.
